Our mission is to establish lasting relationships with our customers by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through exceptional performance by every member of our construction team. We are committed to maintain the highest levels of safety, professionalism, integrity, honesty and fairness in our relationships with our clients, employees, suppliers, subcontractors, industry and community.

A.J. Johns, Inc. is a site development contractor that began in the local construction industry in 1970. Company founder, A.J. Johns, has been a respected leader in the Jacksonville business community since the company's inception. His integrity and honesty continues to set the benchmark of our company. Our mission and goals have been consistent and client/employee focused.

The company began primarily supplying only the utility needs of our customers. In 1983 we expanded our role to a full service site development contractor to better serve the needs of our customers. In 2004 approximately 80% of our sales were driven by private residential development, both single family and multifamily. The remaining services were provided to general contractors at a sub-contractor level.

It has always been the goal of A.J. Johns, Inc. to have complete customer satisfaction. In these days of widespread commercial development we have ventured out into the world of design build. As our industry evolves, we intend to do whatever is necessary to keep up with the ever changing and expanding needs of our clients.

Through economic challenges we keep our focus in maintaining a safe work environment. Our employee commitment to safety has been acknowledged by various safety awards including the William H. Feather award. Our Safety Directors have helped to OSHA 10 certify over 85% of our work force. We can only expect to maintain our goals through continuous employee training.

Together we can more effectively address common problems and strengthen construction markets and profitability for all.
